Court Orders and Notices Bound For Canada Held at Canadian/U.S. Border Since September 26, 2025 Due to Postal Strike

Thursday, October 9, 2025

Canada Post announced a shutdown due to national labor actions between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers. As a result, since September 26, 2025, notices and orders that the Bankruptcy Noticing Center (BNC) has attempted to deliver to Canada have been held at the Canadian/United States border and will not be delivered to intended recipients until after the postal strike has concluded.  Note that, currently, electronic bankruptcy noticing through the BNC is not an option for international recipients. More information about the strike will be provided as it is received.
