Amended Standing Order No. 11, NextGen Implementation, and Emergency Filing Instructions

Thursday, December 2, 2021

Amended Standing Order No. 11 was signed today by Chief Judge Karen K. Specie and is available on the Administrative & Standing Orders page or by CLICKING HERE. The order concerns updates to the Administrative Procedures for the Filing, Signing, and Verification of Pleadings and Documents by Electronic Means (Administrative Procedures). These updates pertain to NextGen system access, and the revised information has already been communicated to members of the bar through electronic means and training sessions. The amended Administrative Procedures will be posted on this website prior to NextGen implementation on December 6, 2021.

Due to the implementation of NextGen this weekend, electronic filing through the Court's case management system will be unavailable beginning at 11:59 p.m. ET today through Sunday, December 5, 2021. While the system is unavailable, Standing Order No. 11 authorizes the Clerk to accept filings via email or facsimile.

If you have a submission that must be filed prior to Monday, December 6, 2021, please send your filing to the Clerk's Office via email (Filings@flnb.uscourts.gov) or FAX (850-521-5004). Filings are also accepted by mail/courier service at the Tallahassee Division (110 East Park Avenue, Suite 100, Tallahassee, FL 32301) during business hours.
