By December 31, 2025, all CM/ECF users will be required to enroll in MFA as explained in detail on the PACER website. Users may begin the enrollment process as early as May 11, 2025. MFA is a tool designed to enhance the security of the judiciary's systems and case data with an added layer of user verification, significantly reducing the risks associated with unauthorized access. Users with filing and all other types of CM/ECF-level access will be required to enroll in MFA, while users with PACER-only access are strongly encouraged to enroll.  Users with CM/ECF-level access who do not voluntarily enroll will be randomly selected to do so beginning in August. CM/ECF users utilizing third-party software for filing: Please contact your software vendor to ensure MFA is supported before enrolling to avoid any disruption in business processes.
