What is E-Orders and where can I find training?
E-Orders is a free, web-based document processing module that allows electronic filers to upload PDF-formatted proposed orders directly into CM/ECF. CLICK HERE to view the training presentation. Note that the training presentation and this webpage may be updated over time. All updates will be announced through News and Announcements.
What are the benefits of E-Orders?
E-Orders is designed to make the proposed order process easier, faster, and more predictable. Key benefits include:
- Faster processing of proposed orders
- Real-time tracking of proposed order submissions
- Immediate confidence that your proposed order was successfully received
- Greater transparency of the proposed order submission process
- Consistent processing through standardized workflows
How should proposed orders be updated before using E-Orders?
Effective October 1, 2026, E-Orders requires electronic filers to use specific proposed order formatting, as explained below. Traditional proposed order formatting must be used when submitting proposed orders prior to October 1, 2026.
- Text and margin formatting. Prior to October 1, the FLNB Style Guide and the Court’s Proposed Order Guidelines will be updated with new text and margin information, including information about how to create the required 3-inch margin located at the top of the first page of every proposed order.
- Document type requirement. All proposed orders must be uploaded into E-Orders as portable document format (.PDF) files. Word format will not be accepted.
- Page size and orientation. Proposed orders, including any attached exhibits, must be formatted entirely on standard-sized paper (8 ½ x 11 inches) in portrait orientation and merged into a single PDF file.
- “End of Order” language. At the end of the Court’s decree should be “End of Order” in bold 11-pt font. Click here to view sample orders.
- Service text change. Update the “Service” text on the last page of the order to “Service: [Name] is directed to serve a copy of this order on interested parties who did not receive service by CM/ECF and to file proof of service within three (3) business days of the entry of the order.” Click here to view sample orders.
All of the above E-Orders formatting requirements will be available in the Court’s Style Guide and Proposed Order Guidelines resources sometime prior to October 1.
Are form or sample orders available?
Click here to view sample orders. The Forms page of this website will be updated with additional sample orders prior to October 1.
How do I access E-Orders in CM/ECF?
A new "Order Upload" link will appear under the bankruptcy and adversary event category heading “Proposed Order Submission” in CM/ECF.
Do I need to update my ECF account to use E-orders?
Electronic filers are not required to take any action to update their ECF accounts, as the change is implemented inside the ECF system.
What are the technical requirements for accessing E-Orders?
There are no additional technical requirements for accessing E-Orders. The technical requirements listed below are the same as those needed to file documents electronically in CM/ECF:
