Disability Accommodations

It is the policy of this Court to provide reasonable accommodations to participants in court proceedings who have communication disabilities. Participants in court proceedings include parties in the case, attorneys, and witnesses. Individuals seeking assistance should send an email to  Access_Coordination@flnb.uscourts.gov or call the Clerk's Office at 850-521-5001 to arrange for appropriate accommodations.  In the alternative, a motion may be filed in your case.

Please keep the following deadlines in mind:

  • Individuals requiring the use of an assistive listening device must contact the Clerk's Office at least one week in advance of the scheduled court proceeding.

  • Individuals seeking an American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter or who require Communication Access Real Time Translation (CART) Reporting Services must contact the Clerk's Office at least 30 days in advance of the scheduled court proceeding.

Note that disability accommodations do not include requests for language interpreters. The Court is not responsible for providing language interpretation services for judicial proceedings or communications between counsel and parties except in very limited instances where the bankruptcy proceedings are instituted by the United States. If a spoken language interpreter is required for a court proceeding instituted by the United States, call the Clerk's Office at 850-521-5001.

Section 341 Meetings of Creditors. Information concerning spoken and sign language interpretation for Section 341 Meetings of Creditors scheduled by the trustee in your case may be found on the Trustee Information page on this website.
