In re: Courtroom Computer Usage Standing Order No. 10 / AMENDED STANDING ORDER NO. 10 REGARDING COMPUTING DEVICES IN THE COURTROOM
In the interest of increased efficiency and in light of the technology available to practitioners appearing before the Court, it is: ORDERED: 1. Any party, counsel, or counsel’s staff is permitted to bring all portable personal computing devices, such as laptop computers, iPads, notebooks, etc., in the courtroom gallery. 2. Prior to entering the courtroom, any such party, counsel, or staff must turn on the portable personal computing device and otherwise comply with any security requests of the Court Security Officers. 3. If any party, counsel, or counsel’s staff abuses the privilege or in any other way disrupts the courtroom through the use of such portable personal computing devices, the Court will direct the party or their counsel to remove the equipment from the courtroom. 4. The devices may not be used to record video or audio of any portion of any hearing or take still photos inside the courtroom gallery.
