Drop Box Instructions

In addition to filing by email (filings@flnb.uscourts.gov), fax (850-521-5004) and mail (United States Bankruptcy Court, 110 E. Park Ave., Ste. 100, Tallahassee, FL 32301), self-represented parties may now submit bankruptcy court documents for filing via drop box in the Tallahassee and Pensacola divisions. 

 

Availability


Drop boxes are available inside courthouse lobbies on days when the court is open during the following hours:

  • Tallahassee:  8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time
  • Pensacola:    7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Central Time

 

File-Stamping (Non-Emergency Documents)


Drop boxes will be emptied at 2:00 p.m. local time each day the court is open. Documents will be file-stamped as they are reviewed. Documents dropped after 2:00 p.m. local time will be file-stamped the following business day.  Note that the Bankruptcy Court is closed on weekends, federal holidays, and on other days that may be posted on this website.

 

Payments


Payments are not accepted via drop box. Cashier’s Checks or Money Orders made payable to “CLERK, USBC” must be MAILED to the Tallahassee division at the address above for processing. Do not mail cash.

 

Emergency Filing Instructions


  1. IF THE INTAKE COUNTER IS OPEN: Drop your document envelope into the box, and ring the bell to alert us to your emergency filing.
  2. IF THE INTAKE COUNTER IS CLOSED: Do not drop your documents into the box. Call the Clerk’s office at 850-521-5001 or 866-639-4615 for instructions.

 

Non-Emergency Filing Instructions


  1. Place documents in the envelope provided, and deposit the envelope in the drop box.  No payments.
