Tallahassee Clerk's Office Intake Counter Closed Friday, July 10

Friday, July 10, 2026

The Tallahassee Bankruptcy Courthouse is currently experiencing failures in the building air conditioning system.  Due to unsafe temperatures the Tallahassee Clerk's Office intake counter will be closed on Friday, July 10th.  The Pensacola office remains open.  Drop boxes are available inside the courthouse lobby to deposit non-emergency filings. Please do not deposit filing fees. Filing fees must be mailed to the Tallahassee Division (see mailing address) or delivered to the Intake counter when the counter reopens. CLICK HERE for drop box hours and instructions.

The Emergency Filing Service (EFS) is operational when the Clerk's Offices is closed. The following categories of documents may be submitted for filing via the EFS:

  • Filings that result in the issuance of a new case number (e.g., bankruptcy petitions, adversary proceeding complaints, and miscellaneous proceeding case initiating documents);
  • Filings that satisfy a deadline that requires filing action; and
  • Filings that continue a deadline that expires on the current day.

Hearings scheduled in the Tallahassee Courthouse for the week of July 13th may be changed to fully remote.  Rescheduling notices will be entered in cases as appropriate.
