Information Regarding Interim Rules and Orders to Implement BAPCPA

The table below provides links to the Interim Rules relating to the BAPCPA that became effective in the Northern District October 17, 2005. Because the official rule making process at the national level is intensive, the interim Bankruptcy rules will probably remain as interim for several years to come. Please note that we have adopted all of the recommended interim rules as approved by the Advisory Committee on Bankruptcy Rules and the Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure. More detailed information on the interim national rules and related forms can be found at:


With regard to the interim Local Rules, we will begin a regular local rules process in early 2006 so that they can become final as soon as possible.
